2025 Volleyball NZ National Provincial Champs (IPC) 

Event Details  

When: Kings Birthday weekend - Saturday the 31st of May - Monday 2nd June 2024.

Teams will travel to and from the tournament by minivans on Friday the 30th of May and will travel home on Tuesday the 3rd of June.

Where: Akau Tangi Sports Centre, Kilbirnie, Wellington.

Registrations close on the 10th of April 2025 so please sign up before then!​​​​​​​

Teams you can trial for:

  • U17 and U19 A Teams (Boys and Girls)
  • U17 and U19 Development Teams (Boys and Girls)
  • Open mens team
  • Open womens team

Athlete Eligibility Criteria

  • U17 Grades (Boys and Girls) - Players born in 2009 and after – i.e. can’t turn 17 in 2025

  • U19 Grades (Boys and Girls) - Players born in 2007 and after – i.e. can’t turn 19 in 2025

Trial date: Sunday the 13th of April, Mercury Arena. 

Trial times: 

  • U19 Boys and Girls - Session 1: 9am-11am. Session 2: 11am-1pm.

This age group will be split into 2 separate trial groups due to high registration numbers. You will be emailed what session you are in a few days prior to the trial.

  • U17 Girls and Boys - 1pm-3:30pm. 
  • Open Men and Women - 3:30pm-5pm.

Trial Cost: $15 per athlete. 

Training and Tournament Details

The below information is for athletes who get selected to be in each team and will compete at the tournament. 

Trainings: (if selected for a team)

  1. Training 1: Sunday the 4th of May, QEYC.
  2. Training 2: Sunday the 18th of May, Mercury Arena.
  3. Training 3: Sunday the 25th of May, Mercury Arena.

Your coach will be encouraged to run other trainings where possible so please take note on their training times. 

Tournament dates: The 31st of May, 1st and 2nd of June 2025. Travel to and from Wellington will happen on the 30th of May and the 3rd of June by van.

Tournament location: Akau Tangi Sports Centre, Kilbirnie, Wellington.

Trainings and tournament fees: (please note that trial fees are not included in these fees)

U17 and U19 athletes (updated) - Between $700 and 750. This includes entry fees, accomodation, van hire and costs, laundry costs, food (breakfast, lunch and dinner), and court hire for trainings.

Open men and women (updated) - Between $550 and $600. This includes entry fees, accomodation, van hire and costs, laundry costs, and court hire for trainings.

You will be notified if you make a team. The player fees are only due once you have been selected and we will set up a payment schedule for everyone.
